چکیده

Research has shown that the full and positive effect of Participative Enterprise Modeling methods heavily depends on the ability of its users to deal with numerous situational factors, which characterize, influence and constrain each specific development situation where Enterprise Modeling is used. This paper argues, based on empirical research, for a shift in method development from the invention of new methods to the development of guidelines fo r the practical use of current methods. Such a shift calls f o r research into the complex relationships between situational factors in development processes.

Investigating the influence of situational factors on Participative Enterprise Modelling - making a case for a qualitative research approach

Participative Enterprise Modelling (PEM) has been used in Information Systems Development and Business Development for some time now. Research has shown that the full and positive effects of PEM methods heavily depends on the ability of its users to manage situational factors, which characterise, influence and constrain development situations where it is used. Therefore, a shift must be made in...

Integrating Agile Modeling with Participative Enterprise Modeling

Agile Modeling (AM) provides a set of best practices of “lightweight” modeling to support the modeling process on a macro level within the agile development teams. At the core of AM is close collaboration with stakeholders which is similar to participative Enterprise Modeling (EM). Hence, the objective of this paper is to analyze the potential of using EM in agile development projects to addres...
